• Don’t wait for the first freezing night to discover your furnace isn’t working properly. Schedule an HVAC system checkup to stay warm this winter. Make sure to regularly change your air filters too!

• Check for plumbing leaks under sinks, around toilets, and near appliances for signs of leaks. Catching a small leak early can prevent expensive water damage and mold.

• Before freezing temperatures arrive, disconnect hoses and shut off the water supply to outdoor spigots. This helps prevent pipes from freezing and bursting during cold weather.

• Rake leaves regularly to avoid accumulation. A thick layer of leaves can block sunlight, trap moisture, damage grass, and clog drains or gutters.
