Welcome Home Program
Housing Unlimited's Welcome Home Program is a community partnership intitiative that aims to turn an empty apartment, condo, or house into a warm and welcoming home for individuals transitioning from homelessness or risk of homelessness to affordable housing in thriving communities with access to public transportation, grocery stores and libraries. Volunteers like you help Housing Unlimited to provide everything a new tenant needs for a fresh start, including items identified in our Kitchen Starter Kits, Sleep & Sound Bundles, and the ultimate Welcome Home Basket checklists.
Welcome Home Packing Parties are great for families, civic groups,
businesses, high school/college clubs!
How It Works
Create a sense of belonging and comfort for Housing Unlimited tenants by participating in our Welcome Home Program. Here's how it works:

🏘️Pack It Up: Collect the new or gently used items listed for your chosen kit. Gather your group for a "Packing Party" to assemble the kits and write a heartwarming note of encouragement to place inside.

🏘️The HUI Handoff: Once your kits are packed and decorated, we will pick them up! We’ll also make our best attempt to snap a photo of the resident receiving your gift so your team can see the life they’ve touched.
