HUI homes - each with two to five tenants - are situated in attractive, accessible neighborhoods. These comfortable homes have tastefully furnished common areas and private bedrooms for each tenant.

What is HUI's "extra-measure" property management system?

 HUI provides distinctive "extra-measure" property management support to its tenants. The organization's professional staff - with significant input from Board members and volunteers - oversees furniture inventory, tenant orientation, and property support. Weekly housing inspections ensure that each household runs smoothly. Each HUI home has a telephone for local calls.

HUI offers housing leases to individuals upon referral from Montgomery County's mental health coordinating agency. HUI tenants are responsible for their own health, finances, interpersonal relationships, activities, and daily chores.
