What's New

Staff Announcements  With great pride, and some sadness, we announce that Marcy Fisher is retiring effective November 1, 2017 as our inaugural Chief Operating Officer. Marcy's extensive knowledge of the intersection of affordable housing and mental health have been invaluable to Housing Unlimited. Aaron Fenster has been promoted to serve as Chief Operating Officer.  Aaron joined Housing Unlimited in 2012 as a Property Manager and was promoted to Director of Housing Management in 2014.

Our Tenants in the Community  The Woods Academy in Bethesda takes teaching social responsibility very seriously. Two of our tenants met with the fifth grade last week to share their personal stories about homelessness and mental health. We will be working together with the school over the school year on how they can take action on important social issues.

Inspired by our tenants and want to do more? As we continue to grow, we are always looking for high-quality donated furniture, kitchen supplies and artwork to make a house feel like a home. Contact us  to let us know that you would like to arrange a convenient pick-up.  We also have service projects for community groups and corporations.  We would love to include you in fulfilling our mission!

House #72!  We have purchased our 72th home in Montgomery County.  With this addition, we can now provide permanent affordable housing for 197 people in mental health recovery.
